Gatsby’s vintage and antique jewellery experts inspect every vintage pearl in our collection, taking care and attention throughout the authentication process. Every piece of vintage pearl jewellery within our collection is an authentic vintage pearl.

Always store your vintage pearl jewellery away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures, preferably within a soft cloth bag when not in use. Avoid exposing your vintage pearl jewellery to chemicals or harsh cleaning products. Should you need to clean the vintage pearl, gently wipe it with a soft, damp cloth or take it to a professional antique jewellery cleaner.

If you require any minor repairs to a piece of vintage pearl jewellery, these should only ever be carried out by a professional jeweller – never attempt to repair vintage pearl jewellery yourself, as vintage and antique pearls can be very susceptible to damage.

Vintage pearl jewellery can be up to 100 years old – any older and these gemstones would be considered antique pearls. 

Vintage and antique pearl jewellery is extremely delicate and is therefore not recommended for everyday wear.
